The History of Vival Chemicals
Vival Chemicals commenced business as a partnership between Rudolph Visser and James Vale, hence the name “Vi-Vale”. Our initial business involved the manufacture and supply of detergents, soaps, cleaners etc, and the wholesale supply of Industrial Acids and Alkali's to the textile industry. We were based in Dandenong, serving customers predominantly in the Melbourne metropolitan area.
1976
“Erase” cleaning products business broke away from Vival Chemicals and in March 1976 Vival Chemicals was incorporated.
1976 - 1982
Working out of a shared factory in Williamstown, Vival Chemicals slowly developed a reputation with it's textile customers, built on quality and quick response.
1983
The need for further storage space results in a shift of premises to a single factory in a Spotswood industrial estate.
1983 - 1990
Vival continues to grow and has now leased the adjacent factory for storage requirements
and offices, broadening it's customer base into the Leather Tanning Industry.
1993
Vival purchased our 3 acre block at Thomas Road, North Laverton and plans began for our own chemical factory.
1994
Construction work commenced on the tank farm facilities at Laverton North. Bulk Tanks of Acetic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Hydrochloric Acid and Sodium Hypochlorite are installed. In the interim, Vival has moved to a rented premises in Maria St, North Laverton.
1996
Construction was completed on factories and office buildings at Thomas Rd, North Laverton.
1996 - Now
Vival Chemicals continues to develop and further diversifying it's customer base wherever chemicals are being used in process.
